New Client - Premier Dispatch

APC's network now comprises over 125 member depots all working closely together to provide an unrivalled national network with local knowledge, care and service. It offers:

  • The largest number of depots within a UK network
  • A high degree of customer care and accountability
  • An impressive track-record averaging 99.8% of all parcels delivered securely and on-time

Many of its competitors are huge impersonal conglomerates – APC is the only one with a truly independently owned network. And when you call APC you get real people, people who care about your parcel and the service you are receiving - not a faceless call centre. To ensure that high standards are maintained, depot performance is closely monitored and audited by APC Head Office through a variety of means. We can afford to be rigorous – we have a waiting list of suppliers desperate to be part of the success story that is the APC overnight network. Our reputation has been built by the quality of service we deliver. We are determined to make sure it stays that way.

What they Said:

During these (perceived) times of “doom and gloom” within our country I felt compelled to drop you a quick mail to congratulate you on having a very thorough and professional work ethic and team representing your business.

Having just had our tracker system installed over the last few weeks I would like to bring to your attention that to date I have received excellent service and continued attention to detail from Robert in Sales, Craig in Installations and Debbie in Training, combine this with their enthusiasm to their role and you have the perfect mix. As a business owner myself I know the hardship you go through to find the right staff, in my own company I expect high standards and it’s great to deal with another Scottish business who clearly have these key attributes in place . You would think customer service is easy, how many companies do you know who excel in this area, unfortunately very few these days, so once again well done.

We will be looking at our phone systems later in the year and due to your excellent service so far, you will be first on my list of contacts.

Keep up the good work.

Best Wishes

Graeme

What they Said: We have had the systems in place since March 2003 and have found them to be invaluable, due to our line of business.

We provide a mobile service to our customers, and the system has helped in the fact that we know where all our engineers are, which in turn helps with the allocation of jobs etc. It has also cut down the cost of our mobile telephone bills due to the fact that we don't have to continually call the engineers to find out where they are etc. It has been very helpful when customers have complained about labour charges, saying that the engineer was not on site for this length of time. Before we had to take this at face value and offer credits etc. now we send the customer one of our detailed reports for the vehicle in question and they cannot dispute what's in front of them.

We regularly run off reports for all the vehicles, which gives us their idling times etc, we then show the engineer. Doing this, we have managed to dramatically reduce the idling time over the past year as the engineers are now aware that we can see everything in the reports, which in turn has reduced fuel costs.

We have also dramatically reduced the engineers' use of the vans for personal use. Before it was all based on trust and with some this was abused. Now, there is little or no use of the vehicles and if the vans are used then we expect the fuel to be replaced.

We then decided to have dongles installed on our crimping machines. This allows us to tell if the machine is being used out of hours when the engineers are not on call, which in turn would alert us if stock etc is going missing.

Overall, the systems have been a great help to us in the management of our depots, customers, engineers and vehicles. Operating from a state-of-the-art facility in East Kilbride, Lanarkshire, and depots in Aberdeen, Northern Ireland and most recently, London, the company has developed a sophisticated logical distribution system to ensure optimum service with twice daily deliveries to customers throughout the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland.

Stalker Transport

What they Said: We are very new users to the system and are still just toying with it's immense capabilties. However, even at such an early stage already we have found it is saving us money and offering us numerous advantages. We are delighted with our purchase.

One of our biggest fears was the reaction of our drivers in that perhaps they would perceive the system as a 'spy in the cab'and obviously be resentful of that. However, after sitting them down and explaining to them the reasons behind us going down the 'tracking' route they have been suprisingly receptive to the idea and have offered their full co-operation.

As we have had latching switches fitted to the vehicles and issued the drivers with I.D. tags, eventually we intend to use the system to produce time sheets and W.T.D. records, thereby vastly reducing the amount of paperwork expected from the drivers.

Not only does this system hugely increase the security of our fleet, it is already improving our traffic planning, reducing dead running mileage which in turn is saving us fuel - a very expensive commodity. Our traffic operators are spending less time on the 'phone to drivers because they can now see at a click of a button where our vehicles are and how long it is going to take them to reach their destination. Because some of the drivers' habits have changed, we are also seeing savings on our weekly wages bill.

We have spent months researching and trialling the various companies and systems available on the market today as we were very conscious that this was a huge step and investment for us and we needed to get it right - I can now confidently say we have.

Integra has jumped through hoops for us and are continually bending over backwards to work with us to produce the bespoke reports we are requesting. Nothing is too much trouble for them - their professional service and continuing support has been amazing.

We made the right choice - Integra Telematics was the right choice.
